Network Rules
Connection to the CUDN (Cambridge University Data Network) is subject to a number of rules and conditions which are listed at https://www.ch.cam.ac.uk/computing/network-usage
Wired connections
The wired network in the department provides two services: ChemNet (internal to the Chemistry department) and eduroam (for academic visitors). Personally-owned machines may be configured for either network. Shared, lab-owned, or group-owned machines should be configured to get a ChemNet connection.
You might require a patch cable, available from stores.

Wireless connections
Three wireless networks are available throughout the department.
- ChemNet - chemistry network (for members of the Department)
- eduroam - academic roaming wireless (recommended for visitors from outside the Department)
- UniOfCam-guest - for guests and short-term visitors to the University
