When did you work in IT support at the Department of Chemistry?
From 2012 until 2014.
What were your main duties?
My main duties were a 50:50 combination working at the Scott Polar Research Institute and with the Centre for Atmospheric Science at Chemistry.
What did you most enjoy when you worked in the IT team?
Working with the team was my most enjoyable memory of my stint in Chemistry
What did you learn working in the IT team?
I learnt so much working with the Chemistry team. Perhaps networks was the area that tweaked my interest the most, as the department was such a sophisticated combination of simple end user needs, up to high end computing
What are you up to now?
I am semi retired. I still work on a part time basis, and my main focus these days, is the examinations period where I am a supervisor working under the team at the Student Registry
