The Department is delighted to announce that Steve Ley, Ian Paterson, Erwin Reisner, Oren Scherman, and David Spring have all been awarded prizes for their academic achievements.

Steve Ley, IUPAC/THALESNano prize in flow chemistry: For his outstanding contribution and creative work in methodologies for organic synthesis, especially in multi-step synthesis in continuous flow chemistry reactor systems.

Ian Paterson, Natural Products Award 2014: For exceptional originality and creativity in natural product synthesis.

Erwin Reisner, Harrison-Meldola Memorial Prize 2014: For his work in combining molecular synthesis, chemical biology and materials chemistry to develop artificial photosynthesis.

Oren Scherman, 2014 Cram Lehn Pedersen Prize in Supramolecular Chemistry: In recognition of significant original and independent work in supramolecular chemistry.

David Spring, Corday Morgan Chemistry Award 2014: For his contributions to chemistry-driven drug discovery through his work in diversity-oriented synthesis and chemical biology.
