This September we met with our collaborators from Mainz and Paris for the 4th n-AQUA conference in Kalamata, Greece. With the Ionian sea in the background to inspire us, we joined together to share the recent advancements made by members of the consortium in understanding nano-confined water, as well as to discuss developments happening in the wider field. Great progress was made in sharing insight, as well as forging new collaborations and establishing future directions for research. We also took full advantage of the the beautiful sea, sun and the delicious local food, as well as learning about the fascinating history of Greece during a visit to the ancient city of Messini.

We all left with new insights, collaborations and ideas (and a nice tan). This conference will be hard to top!
