The group hosted the Surfaces and Materials Symposium at York this weekend on Friday and Saturday for current and former members as well collaborators. There were an exciting array of talks with subsequent fruitful discussion that followed. We also used this workshop to discuss future research directions for the group.
The group also submitted three teams to participate in the Howard Castle Triathlon on the Sunday:
- Better Call Angelos: Swim - Flaviano, Cycle - Christoph, Run - Niamh, who achieved 2nd place in the standard team relay
- Spice Boys: Swim - John, Cycle - Alex, Run - John
- Michael, who did the triathlon by himself
