I am a PhD student working with Prof. Dominic Wright on main-group inorganic macrocycles. I previously completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, carrying out my Part III (Master’s) project in the Wright group.
In my current research, I have been exploring three key areas: (a) the utilisation of inorganic rings as supramolecular building blocks; (b) the isolation of their reactive s-block organometallic precursors; (c) the application of rational main-group ligand design principles for electrocatalytic applications (e.g. ethanol oxidation in fuel cells). Relating to the second strand of research, our recent work on lithium and heterobimetallic lithium‒magnesium precursors for novel electrolytes was featured on the front cover of Volume 267 of Polyhedron.
