
Dr Rebecca Melen has won the RSC Dalton Young Researcher Award 2013.
"Rebecca L. Melen was born in Nottingham in 1985. She undertook her first degree in Cambridge (2004-2008, Magdalene Colllege) and, having won a University Scholarship, she became a Ph.D. student in Prof. Dominic Wright’s group working on phosphane chemistry and main group metal mediated B-H / N-H dehydrocoupling. She is currently doing a postdoc with Prof. Doug Stephan in Toronto, Canada, on molecular activation using frustrated Lewis pairs. Rebecca has published around 20 papers.
The Dalton Young Researchers Award is for inorganic research chemists under 27 years of age.
