Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry

 

The Chemistry Department's inaugural Schlumberger Lecturer, Professor Yi Cui of Stanford University, will visit the Department from 26 - 27 March.   

Professor Cui will give two talks in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre on 26 and 27 March.  The first talk is entitled “Nanomaterials Design for Energy and Environment”, and the second will be on “Nanomaterials Design for Electrochemical Technologies:  Batteries and Electrocatalysts”, followed by a wine reception.

During his visit to the Department, Professor Cui will meet with academics, postdocs and students to discuss his research, which focuses on nanomaterials for energy conversion and storage, solar cells, topological insulators, biotechnology and environmental technology.
