Chris Abell and David Wales have been elected Fellows of the Royal Society and Jason Chin has been elected Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
Head of Department, Professor John Pyle who made the announcement said "This is excellent news," and warmly congratulated the trio.
Venki Ramakrishnan, President of the Royal Society, said, “The scientists elected to the Fellowship are leaders who have advanced their fields through their ground breaking work. We are delighted to welcome them to the Royal Society.”
The Academy of Medical Sciences noted "Our Fellows are central to all we do. The excellence of their science, their contribution to medicine and society and the range of their achievements are reflected throughout our work."
