The talks are entitled: “Reprogramming the genetic code” and “Imaging and controlling biological processes with molecular precision” will take place on the 10th/11th April at 4:00 in the Dyson Perrins lecture Theatre.
Andy Derome read Natural Sciences at Cambridge University and then moved to the Dyson Perrins Laboratory in Oxford to study for a DPhil in the group of Prof Jack Baldwin. From 1982 he took the helm of the Organic Chemistry NMR facility, and continued in this role until his untimely death in 1991. Andy was best known for his book Modern NMR Techniques in Chemistry Research, published by Pergamon in 1987.
