The theme of the lecture series is “Simulating Soft Matter: Not a Numbers Game”.

The lecture series consists of the following six talks:

Tuesday, 23 April      Lecture 1:      Order from disorder

Thursday, 25 April     Lecture 2:      The birth of a crystal

Wednesday, 1 May    Lecture 3:      Packing and over-packing

Thursday, 2 May       Lecture 4:      Experiments as simulations

Tuesday, 7 May        Lecture 5:      Simulations: the dark side

Thursday, 9 May       Lecture 6:      Multivalency: why one plus one is not two

The Lectures, sponsored by Shell International, will be presented in the Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory in the Main Lecture Theatre at 11.15 am.  They will be of particular interest to researchers and senior undergraduates.
