The annual BP Graduate Seminars were held in the department on the afternoon of 8th March.
13 Final year students gave excellent presentations of their research project and a further dozen second year students presented their current work on posters.
This event has been sponsored by BP for many years and we are extremely grateful to Kevin West and his colleagues for coming along to support this event again this year. They had to work hard in their role as judges of the best talk and best poster at the event, since the standard was once again exceptionally high and the breadth of science reported was astounding. Congratulations go to Simon Page and Ed Pyzer-Knapp for being awarded the BP prizes for best talk and best poster, respectively. They are pictured either side of Kevin in the photo, where Kevin is reported to have said “the Cheque is in the post….”
