The Association of British Turkish Academics 2017 Doctoral Researcher Awards, which promote and award scientific excellence among young researchers pursuing doctoral awards in the UK, are now open.

These awards promote one of the group's primary objectives, to support young academics and researchers in the UK regardless of their nationality. 


The awards are given to PhD candidates or recent graduates of UK universities in all academic fields of study, in three categories:


1. Natural & Life Sciences

2. Management & Social Sciences

3. Engineering Sciences


Please submit your application by 5 pm, Friday, 31 March, 2017.


The UK based Association of British Turkish Academics (ABTA) is the leading professional organisation for scholars in the UK and Turkey dedicated to creating academic partnerships and bridges between the two countries. ABTA is a non-profit and non-political organisation established exclusively for scientific, charitable, and educational purposes. ABTA seeks to enhance and disseminate knowledge through its organised projects, seminars, conferences, meetings and academic trips.


The applications will be assessed by prominent British and Turkish academics working at UK universities. 


The award ceremony will take place at University College London (UCL) on Saturday, 20 May, 2017.
