The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2013 has been awarded to Martin Karplus, Michael Levitt and Arieh Warshel "for the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems"

Prof. Levitt matriculated as a graduate student in Peterhouse College, Cambridge in 1968 and was elected into an Unofficial Fellowship at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge in 1970.
