Essential Training

  • Data Protection TrainingFor all staff using personal data in some way in their role, this online course should be part of their induction and thereafter once every two years.
  • Display Screen EvaluationDSE form to complete.
  • Equal and Diversity Essentials online training - main principles of equality and diversity and legislation; how equality and diversity impacts on the University and members of the University community; outlines key initiatives/resources available to University members. This is essential for those involved in recruitment.
  • Fire Safety Induction online – to raise fire safety awareness for all members of the University and assist fire safety managers to comply with current fire safety legislation.
  • Cyber security awareness training for staff - Understand risks of working/studying online and how to mitigate them.
  • Health and Safety Induction Training - Online course to provide basic information about health and safety in the University and help understanding of the responsibility to: Keep safe, look out for the safety of others, and co-operate with departments and the University.
  • Understanding Unconscious Bias - introduces Unconscious Bias and its impact. This is essential for those involved in recruitment.

Additional training

  • Anti-bribery and Corruption Training - aimed at all members of staff especially Heads of Department and those involved at any level in procurement or in seeking donations or research funding or those involved in international activities.
  • Environmental Sustainability Induction - to educate staff about sustainability at the University of Cambridge.
  • i-Procurement System Overview and Trainingall purchases are made by raising a requisition via the online iProc system. To use CUFS and place orders the following must be completed:        Information - online training                      User registration - iProcurement for Requisitioners
  • Prevent Module 1 - An Introduction to the Prevent Duty Online - for staff who have responsibility for one or more of the following: Teaching, supervisory or pastoral responsibilities for students, also professional services staff in staff or student support roles.
  • Recruitment and Selection Skills - for those responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff. Prepares individuals to effectively carry out the recruitment and selection process through stages of producing a person specification, short listing effectively against selection criteria, designing questions, structuring and conducting interviews, and making the final decision.
  • Staff Induction Online a summary of the induction process, overview of the University's structure, and highlights essential information about some of the services available to staff during their employment.
