Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry

Interested in cricket? Would you like to play in a friendly inter-departmental cricket league?  The Chemistry department has entered a team in previous years and would love to do so again this year – but they need some more players.

"The league is a very relaxed competition," says team captain Matthew Dunstan, a postdoctoral research associate with the Grey Group. "It generally runs from May through to July, and players of all levels and abilities – men and women – are very welcome, no matter what experience they have. Over the years we've welcomed players from lesser-known cricketing nations such as France, Germany and Poland, and we're always happy to help you learn how to play."

During the league season, there is generally one match a week. It starts at 5:45pm on a weekday afternoon (usually midweek) and is played on a cricket ground in central Cambridge.

"We're a bit short on players this year, so if you're interested, please let me know," Matthew says. You can contact him by email.
