Showcase Week
Showcase Week is an annual week-long celebration of the Chemistry going on in our Department: all our second year graduate students present a poster and all third years give a talk in one of five RIG based Symposia, the poster sessions and drinks receptions. Everybody, from Faculty to postdocs to PhD and MPhil students, is invited to attend whichever Symposia during the week they will find the most interesting and/or relevant to them. We hope that you will get to know about the reseach being undertaken in the Department as a result.
Second and third year students take part in 'Showcase week' every September where all second years will present posters, all third years will give 10-15 minute oral presentations, with 5 minute Q&As.
Each week day of Showcase week is dedicated to one of our Research Interest Groups:- Biological, Materials, Physical and Atmospheric, Synthesis, and Theory.
It usually takes place the final full week of September, with live research talks in lecture theatres, and poster exhibitions in either the Todd Hamied or the meeting rooms off the Cyber Café. Each day all presenters and judges have lunch provided and an opportunity to meet and mingle.
