Many of our postgraduate students want to engage in teaching our undergraduate students. This is a rewarding and often quite intellectually challenging activity, which is most usually really enjoyed by those who take part in it. There are two main ways in which you can engage in this activity:
Demonstrating in our undergraduate laboratories
Supervising small groups of undergraduate students
You may also be interested in formalising your teaching skills by joining the Teaching Associates' Programme (TAP). TAP is open to Cambridge researchers and early-career academics (postdocs, early-career college lecturers, PhD students beyond their first year) and is accredited by the Higher Education Academy at Descriptor 1 (Associate). Read the full course description here - applications are usually accepted between early June and early September via this website.
