Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry

I am a PhD student looking at how machine learning techniques can be used to obtain more robust and actionable projections of urban climate extremes (e.g. heatwaves) and assess its impact on future energy demand. My supervisors are Dr Scott Hosking (British Antarctic Survey), Dr Emily Shuckburgh (British Antarctic Survey), Dr Alex Archibald (Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge) and Dr Richard Turner (Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge). Before coming to Cambridge I did a masters in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning at UCL and studied Physics at Imperial College London.
