Nest is owned by the Theory RIG. It was purchased with money from the School of Physical Sciences and Professor David Wales. It has the following features:

- 8TB local scratch storage
- 25 Gbps ethernet interconnect
- 1 Gbps ethernet management interconnect
- Login node with
- 192GB RAM
- Two Intel Cascade Lake 20 core CPUs
- Filestore with
- 50TB total storage, split between backed up and scratch space
Nest is intended for task farming and small scale MPI work. Accounts on it are created automatically for the research groups of core Theory RIG members.
