My research focuses on extracellular matrix biology, investigating how LOX oxidation and PLOD2-mediated lysine hydroxylation regulate collagen stability, matrix organisation, and crosslink formation. Using genetic engineering, advanced imaging, and solid-state NMR, I study how these post-translational modifications alter the extracellular matrix, influence cell behaviour, and contribute to diseases such as fibrosis.
When I'm not in the lab, I spend my time rowing for the Cambridge University and Jesus College Boat Clubs.
