Hi, I'm Robin (they/them) and I'm a PhD student (with the NanoDTC) joint between the Zhang group here in Chemistry and the Rao group in Physics. I work with cyanobacteria, using electrochemistry and ultra-fast spectroscopy to study how we can steal electrons from the photosynthetic electron transport chain on very short timescales, and what effect this has on photoinhibition in bio-photovoltaic systems.
Outside of research, I co-founded the Cambridge Queer in Chemistry Network (QiCN), that aims to provide a space within the department for staff and students to connect, socialise and celebrate with other queer chemists.
