This week, the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry warmly welcomes Professors Deborah Longbottom and Stephen Jenkins as our new Heads of Department.
We look forward to their leadership, expertise and contributions to our department and wider community and wish them all the very best as they begin this shared leadership journey.
“Taking on the role together gives us the opportunity to draw on our different strengths and perspectives, while sharing a clear vision for the future of the Department,” says Stephen.
“For me, shared leadership is about listening, collaboration and making sure different perspectives are heard. We want to create an environment where our people, research and community can thrive,” says Deborah.
