We’ll be taking part in the Cambridge Open Days for potential undergraduates on 9 and 10 July 2026. Further details will be posted in May 2026.
Cambridge Open Days are open to anybody interested in coming to Cambridge as an undergraduate, along with their parents or supporters. It’s an ideal way to find out more about courses, accommodation and generally what to expect from Cambridge life.
Meet students
The Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry usually has a poster session & lab tours during the afternoon on both days where prospective students will have an opportunity to meet PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. The sessions will be followed with a sample lecture given by Professor Sally Boss. Details of what is available will be posted later in 2026.
In the University of Cambridge, Chemistry is part of the Natural Sciences Tripos, so applicants do not apply directly to the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry. You can find out more about the Natural Sciences Tripos here.
Many activities
Alongside the July Open Days, the University will be running lots of Warm-Up Webinars, which cover topics such as applying to Cambridge, how to pick your College and financial support available during your studies.
If you’d like to visit Cambridge during the Open Days, you’ll need to register on the Undergraduate Study website, which also has lots more information about what to expect.
