The award venerates eminent leaders in protein science who have made sustained, high impact research contributions to the field.

Professor Clarke’s research is multidisciplinary, combining single molecule and ensemble biophysical techniques with protein engineering and simulations to investigate protein folding, misfolding, and assembly. She will be presented with the award at The Protein Society’s 30th Anniversary Symposium in Baltimore, Maryland USA, July 2016

Jane, who is a former Deputy Head of Department, is involved in mentoring, career development, and leadership training for scientists at all stages in their careers.

The Stein and Moore Award is named for Nobel laureates Dr. William Stein and Dr. Stanford Moore.

Jane will also be presented with the 2015/16 Linus Pauling Medal from University of Stanford, on recognition of her outstanding achievements in chemical sciences.
