The Awards are open to researchers, postgraduate research students and staff at the University of Cambridge, whose research has created meaningful and significant impact outside academia.  The aim is to highlight the range and quality of impact arising from Cambridge research.

 

Impact is "an effect on, change or benefit to the economy, society, culture, public policy or services, health, the environment or quality of life, beyond academia."

 

Awards will initially be judged by each of the six Schools of the University, with a prize of £1,000 to the best impact in each School.  The overall best impact award will be selected from these winners, with a prize of £2,000.

 

Nominations must be made by email to impact@admin.cam.ac.uk by 19 April 2016.  Emails must include 'nomination for impact award' in their titles.  The awards will be presented at an event on 20 June 2016.
