In this webinar, Dr Peter Wothers will share his favourite stories about the discovery and naming of the chemical elements, as revealed in his recent book Antimony, Gold and Jupiter’s Wolf. Delve back in time with Dr Wothers as he sifts through historic texts for clues to why some elements have such seemingly unusual names. It’s a fascinating and often surprising tale, told by one of the University’s best-known lecturers. This webinar was created particularly for alumni and their families, but everybody is welcome!
