The Cambridge Philosophical Society has announced the recipients of the William Bate Hardy Prize 2026. The prestigious award has been jointly presented to Professor David Klenerman and Professor Shankar Balasubramanian in recognition of their outstanding contributions to chemical science. Their pioneering research has had a transformative impact on modern chemistry and related disciplines, particularly through the development of molecular and analytical techniques that have driven major advances in biomedical science. 

The William Bate Hardy Prize recognises exceptional scientific achievement and honours pioneering advances in the biological and molecular sciences. This recognition reflects the enduring strength and international impact of research carried out within the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry. Congratulations to both Professors on this well-deserved achievement.
