The Postgraduate Recruitment, Admissions and Education Manager will be responsible for:
- Postgraduate student recruitment and admissions processes/systems within the Department, to provide an efficient, informative and supportive experience for prospective students;
- Assessing student applications;
- Expanding the academic strand of our postgraduate training programme;
- Further developing the monitoring and support mechanisms for all of our students;

Actively seek new funding streams for PhD studentships through all available avenues.

This is a secondment position for one year only. This secondment has arisen due to the opportunity the Department is taking to potentially reconfigure the role so the role holder will need to be excited at the potential for evolution of the role as the year goes on.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, problem solving, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. They will be an experienced user of standard software packages such as Word and Excel and be able to gather and collate data/present reports to a range of audiences. They will be self-motivated and independent, able to work as a member of a team and have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Experience of working in a Higher Education environment is essential and experience of administrative procedures in a higher education establishment is highly desirable.
