Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 18 months in the first instance.

The Mateo Sanchez lab, located in the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, is hiring one research assistant.

The researcher will work on the synthesis of substrates that will be later tested for the discovery and development of biocatalytic reactions. Specifically, we are looking for someone with a background synthetic chemistry and catalysis. Experience in the use of HPLC or GC will highly desirable.

The applicant is expected to participate in the development of new ideas and concepts in the areas outlined below in collaboration with the PI and senior members of the group, by combining their expertise with the core capabilities of the lab. The candidate is expected to work on projects as part of a team, and communicate the results clearly. The duration of the contract is for 18 months.
