Research Associate

I am generally interested in problems related to structure and packing within solid state systems. Due to their compositional and structural diversity, expanse of applications, and the relative lack of exploration in the field, solid state compounds are poised to become a central area of research in the chemical sciences. So far, my research has been centered around exploring how frustration in simple structures leads fragments and layers of multiple structures to intergrow and form a range of diverse intermetallic phases. Moving forward, I’m interested in exploring the interplay between complex structures and their diverse properties, especially as they relate to applications in energy storage.
