Following on from her delightful knitted NHS bears and delectable cake creations, Emma Graham reveals that she has now discovered "Gonks."

Emma explains that Gonks are Terry's Chocolate Oranges covered in fondant and modelled to "whatever character you want really" - which has enabled Emma's imagination to soar. "The small ones can be done from Ferrero Rocher or any spherical chocolate," says Emma. She has even transformed some Kinder eggs into penguins.

"Gonks are apparently very popular, but I only discovered them one weekend after a very rubbish week, and they really made me smile. They are very therapeutic to do on a Sunday afternoon in front of the telly," says Emma. "These are my new favourite things to make -- I am obsessed with them!" As an added bonus, the Gonks are totally edible, "though if you're not a huge lover of fondant, it's best to 'peel the clothes off first,'" Emma jokes.

Emma modestly says that she doesn't feel she is good enough to start selling the Gonks or her cakes yet. "I am just doing them to pass the time really, what with the lack of any social activities this year." A sentiment that we can all agree with!

And Gonks aren't just for Christmas. "I have seen Easter and Halloween Gonks, and even film-themed Gonks, like for Star Wars," Emma says.

However, you can be sure that these very special chocolate surprises will be going to the homes of Emma's family and friends to brighten the holidays.
