Research Associate
Dr Kui Yu obtained his PhD degree in Delft University of Technology (Netherlands) in June, 2021, under the supervision of Dr. Marie-Eve Aubin-Tam. During his PhD, he worked on nacre-inspired biomineralization, bioprinting of photosynthetic living materials and in situ fermentation of bacterial cellulose composites. He is also good at biomaterial processing, electrospinning, polymerization, organic synthesis and hydrogel formulation design. He is currently working on the light management of microalgae-based living hydrogels.
