A farewell reception was held for Rachael Jefferies on the 29th of February, when she retired from her post as Research Personnel Administrator.
Rachael worked in the Admin office of the department for just over 15 years. She was key in registering new members to the department, organising visitor agreements, and assisting with research and student personnel administration.
Nick gave a fond farewell at the party, where there was also plenty of good food and fun to be had. Rachael herself gave a short speech recalling her time in the department and thanking everybody she had worked with. Rachael was then presented with a generous monetary gift collected by her fellow staff members, who hoped she would be able to use it to help with some of the many travels she is planning with her husband in the next year.
