Blavatnik Fellow

I obtained my PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where I specialized in designing and fabricating nanomaterials with biological functions. My research focused on developing peptide-based materials, that prevented biofouling, the establishment of biomass on surfaces. I continued as a postdoc at the same group and developed anti-viral surfaces. Then, I moved to the industry, and took a position at Collplant Ltd. where I formulated bioinks for 3D printed organs and assessed their biocompatibility in tissue models.

In the search for new challenges, I Joined the Zhang group for a postdoctoral internship as a Blavatnik fellow, to learn the fundamentals of electrochemistry and how it can be used as a tool to study biofilms and control their growth and pathogenicity. Particulary, my research work focuses on developing novel bio-inspired electrochemical strategies to arrest and prevent biofouling.
