Two of our colleagues received long service awards at Christmas.
They were recognised for the 25 years of work they have given to this department.
Sue Begg, the Administrative Secretary of the Centre for Molecular Informatics, and Senior Laboratory Technician Mark Hudson, were presented with their awards at a ceremony by the University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Stephen J Toope.
Our Head of Department James Keeler was also there at the event in the Old Schools to see them recognised for their work.
And as he subsequently told the whole Department at the Christmas Party, without our "fantastic technical and support staff", we would not enjoy the success that we do. "Everything we do is only possible because of the efforts of all our staff."
