Funding through Women's Colleges

Lucy Cavendish College offers a range of bursaries and scholarships for women who apply to them. For French nationals there is the Evelyn Povey Studentship award worth a minimum of £4,500. Similarly, the Lord Frederick Cavendish Studentship open to nationals from anywhere around the world. The Santander Scholarship with Mastermann-Braithwaite Studentship worth £9,000 again is open to anyone from anywhere.

Murray Edwards College offer the Murray Edwards Santander Graduate Awards worth up to £5,000. These are geared towards students in greater financial need. 

Newnham College offers a number of substantial studentships each year for women applying to them. Applications are made directly to the Tutorial Office at the college using their own application form, in addition to the formal Graduate Application form. The Newnham Studentships are worth between £3,000 and £12,000 per year and are open to students studying towards an MPhil in any subject. For keen rowers, there is the Anna Watkins Studentship worth up to £12,000. The Allan & Nesta Ferguson Studentship worth between £3,000 and £12,000 per year for MPhil students in any subject. For women applying from developing countries there are the Laing Developing Countries Graduate Studentship. There are also the Mary Anne Ewart Studentship, the Muir Wood Studentship and the Rhoda M. Dorsey Studentship, again each worth between £3,000 and £12,000 and open for women applying to study MPhil or PhDs from anywhere. There is also the Menca de Leoni Studentship for Venezuelan women.

There are also specific women's scholarships via Foundations such as Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships, 2018-2019 for female citizens of a developing country or emerging economy.
