Department of Chemistry


After receiving my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, I joined the group of Professor Scherman for my PhD studies in October 2014.

The aim of my project is to develop a biocompatible supramolecular nanocomposite material, which can ultimately be used both in industry and medicine.  At the moment my work concentrates on studying the effect of high pressure on the dynamics of cucurbit[8]uril complexes and the mechanical properties of CB[8] based hydrogels.

This project is funded by Schlumberger.
