Research Fellow

Amit Ghosh was born in West Bengal, India in 1992. He has obtained a BSc(Hons) degree in chemistry from West Bengal State University, India, and MSc from IIT Kanpur, India. He completed a PhD in Molecular Machines under the supervision of Professor Michael Schmittel at the University of Siegen. His doctoral research is mainly focused on networked out-of-equilibrium molecular machines. In December 2021, he is awarded the Walter Benjamin fellowship (abroad) from DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) to work in Professor Jonathan Nitschke’s group at the University of Cambridge. Outside of the lab, he likes to play cricket.
