Charity Christmas Car Parking

Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Cambridge South will once again use the department's car park this year to raise money for local charities during the holiday season.

Last year the club raised approximately £6,100 from the department's car park, and over £41,000 in total from its charity car parking scheme, in which volunteers open the car parks to the public  during busy shopping days in November and December.  This year they are keeping the suggested minimum donation to only £7 for a full day. All of the money raised in this way goes to support a range of good causes. Spaces are still available for department members with a current car parking permit.

The scheme will operate on the following dates:

  • Saturdays - 25th November, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th December
  • Sundays - 26th November, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st December
  • Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th  and Friday 29th December

Opening times:

  • Fri & Sat  10.00am - 5.00pm
  • Sundays 11.00am - 5.00pm

Other car parking sites managed by the Club over the holidays are the Downing Site, CB2 1GA (access via gate in Tennis Court Road) and Park Terrace, CB2 1GG (access via gate in Park Terrace), both convenient for the Grand Arcade.
