The Office of Scholarly Communication require that you provide a digital copy of your thesis in addition to the print version when you complete. Your thesis will be uploaded into the University of Cambridge’s repository Apollo and will be discoverable through search engines. You will retain the copyright and all rights to your thesis.

It is your decision whether to make your thesis open access, but we encourage you to consider this option. You can find out more about the benefits of open access at here. Please note that RCUK Training Grant funded PhD theses must be made open access within 12 months of completion.

The aim is to make Cambridge theses more easily discoverable in order to increase the visibility of the huge amount of research that is contained in your thesis and to broaden access to your work.
