Dexter is owned by Daan Frenkel, David Wales, and Mark Miller. It has these features:

  • 39 eight-core dual Xeon E5-2670 (2.6GHz, Sandy Bridge) nodes
  • 7 eight-core dual Xeon E5-2640 v3 (2.6GHz, Haswell) nodes
  • 32GB RAM per Westmere node; 64GB RAM per Haswell node
  • Gigabit Ethernet interconnect

Dexter is intended for serial task farming, and small-scale or embarrassingly parallel MPI jobs.
