If you want to offer your services as a supervisor then you might like to do this via the Supervisors' data base which is linked below.
University policy is that all supervisors must be trained. Part of this is a subject-specific talk (given at the start of the year for new postgraduates), the key points from which are summarized in the Guide to supervision (see below). In addition, all new supervisors are expected to undertake the on-line training provided via CamTools. Follow this link (Raven authentication required)
The Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) also runs courses for supervisors. Goto http://www.training.cam.ac.uk/gdp/ and enter supervising into the search function
Supervisors versions of handouts and other teaching materials are available from the Chem Supervisors part of CamTools. If you need access to this, please EMAIL Bethan Lewis (bcl27@cam.ac.uk).
To submit your reports and claim payment for supervisions you will need a CamCORS account: this can be set up for you by the Tutorial Office of the College for which you are supervising. The Chemistry teaching office cannot set up CamCORS accounts.
