The Cambridge Synthesis Centre (CSC), established in 2010, brings together our world-leading expertise in chemical synthesis at Cambridge under a single banner.
The Centre spans all of the areas of modern synthetic chemistry; including inorganic and functional materials, organic and biological synthesis, supramolecular and nanomolecular chemistry, and chemical process design.
This grouping provides an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment for fundamental studies of molecular and macromoloecular systems across the periodic table, a unique environment for problem solving and industrially-based innovation, and a focus for developing areas of pressing technological importance in the fields of energy and sustainability.
This research activity provides a world-class environment for postgraduate and postdoctoral teaching and training in modern synthetic chemistry.
