Victoria is the Department's Welfare, Training and Development Adviser, responsible for a broad range of personnel-related activities that support post-doc researchers and other staff in the Department. This includes advertising, appointment, probation, staff review, mentoring, contract amendment/extension, personnel matters and the leaving process - to name a few... Prior to joining the University, Victoria spent six years in HR/career consultancy working with a number of scientific/technical companies, and five years in corporate communications in biotechnology. Outside of work, you'll find Victoria in the midst of it all with family and friends, on the netball court, or taking a few treasured moments for a little creative writing...
