These pages are maintained by the Post-Doc Affairs Committee (PDAC), which represents contract research staff within the Department of Chemistry’s management structure. Our official remit, and minutes of our committee meetings, can be found here.
The PDAC is made up of a team of postdocs, plus Prof. Chris Abell, the University’s Director of Postdoctoral Affairs, and Victoria Blake, the Department’s Welfare, Training and Development Advisor. Members of PDAC also sit on other Departmental committees, including the Staff Management Committee, various Research Interest Groups, the Athena SWAN Working Group, and the Safety and IT Committees.
Postdocs make an invaluable contribution to the world-leading status of the Department’s chemistry research, as well as to the Department’s wider life. The Department has a strong commitment in turn to ensuring that its postdocs enjoy the best possible facilities, working environment, and opportunities for career development.
