Eric Walters was a great supporter of the Department having established various Next Generation Fellowships for the benefit of new members of academic staff within the Department. He was also a great supporter of the Science Open Day run by the Department and a long-standing member of the Chemistry Advisory Board.  He had previously read Natural Sciences as an undergraduate at Selwyn College.
