2000 happy punters – once again the Department Open Day attracted an enthusiastic crowd of budding scientists eager to try their hand at extracting DNA or investigate the properties of ferrofluids.   The success of the day depends on the skill of the volunteers running the activities and they were all first class.  Special mention must go to the team who managed to contain the cornflour in the Part 1A lab – a scientific breakthrough has been made!
