• Farah Alimagham has been awarded an IEEE Travel Grant to attend the IEEE Sensors Council Summer School 2017 on Optical Fiber Sensors!

• Dr Volker Deringer has two new publications! One on Extracting Crystal Chemistry from Amorphous Carbon Structures​ in ChemPhysChem and another on Machine learning based interatomic potential for amorphous carbon that hit Physical Review B. Congratulations, Volker!

• Melanie Whitfield (Dept Engineering) has started working jontly working with the Elliott group on sensors embedded in implants for remote sensing of physiological signals.
