This system is an automated service set up to provide an “open access” LCMS service utilising electrospray (ESI) ionisation. The mobile phases are 95% aqueous acetonitrile with 0.05% formic acid and 10mM ammonium acetate with 0.1% formic acid. The separation technology is based on a 50 x 4.6 mm C18 column (currently a Phenomenex Kinetix solid core column). There are several methods available enabling the user to produce mass spectra for compounds up to 2kDa in positive and negative modes of ionisation. Samples submitted to this system should be pure to prevent signal suppression. Minimal user interaction is required.
N.B. This system will soon be retired and replaced with a Waters SQD2 and Waters UPLC. The new system will have the ability to email the results to you.
